Campbell and Peace is built on a dental team of exceptional quality. Most of the dentists within our practice are General Dental Council registered specialists and one is also a hospital consultant. Ian is co-director of Campbell and Peace LTD Specialist Dental Practice and is a General Dental Council registered Specialist in Periodontics (treating advanced gum disease).

Ian has almost 25 years experience in practice and was an honorary clinical teacher at the University of Sheffield. He trained under top American surgeons whilst completing a Fellowship in Implantology and Advanced Bone Grafting at the University of Miami.

He originally set the practice up from scratch with a view to providing the highest quality
and ethical dentistry. Since then the practice has gone from strength to strength with the addition of further specialists and other members of the practice team.

Ian is a well known speaker, lecturing regularly at national and international meetings and he writes regular articles for dental magazines. When not working he is a keen rugby follower and is studying for an open university degree in history.

Colin Qualified in Dentistry from Glasgow Dental School in 1994 (aged 22) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Commendation. He worked for three years in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Glasgow, Nottingham and Derby.

In 1997, Colin became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (by examination). He also entered Dental practice in 1997 and began to build a referral service in Oral Surgery and Implant dentistry.

In 1999, Colin became a General Dental Council Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery.

In 2005 Colin was elected to Fellowship of the International Team For Implantology, a network of 650 elected professionals world wide who promote implant dentistry by research, education and development. (Only 25 in the UK). He is a Member of the ITI education working group responsible for developing education to health care professionals in implant dentistry and has personally developed many courses in implant dentistry.

Colin is a Member of the Association of Dental Implantology - www.adi.org and in 2009 became director in Campbell and Peace Specialist Practice.

Colin has placed and restored over 2000 implants and he has carried out over 10,000 surgical procedures.

He is responsible for mentoring dozens of dentists and introducing them to implant dentistry for the benefit of their patients and has also lectured nationally for over 10 years on Implant dentistry and oral surgery.

Colin has been providing expert witnessing services for 8 years in dozens of cases and have appeared in county and criminal courts as an expert.

Neil is a specialist in restorative dentistry and was appointed as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. His specialist training was completed at Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’s Dental Institute, and St George’s and Mayday Hospitals, London. Prior to this he worked in the dental teaching hospitals of Sheffield and Leeds having been in general practice in Norwich. Neil is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a General Dental Council specialist in Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

Neil is interested in the areas of adhesive fixed prosthodontics, endodontics and the implant rehabilitation of patients with defects related to dental cancer or trauma. His implant team was awarded the National Smile Award 2009 for facial reconstruction and we were very proud of this achievement. He is particularly interested in the area of tooth wear and has lectured, published articles and carried out clinical research in this field. Neil has contributed to the dental literature and published articles in dental journals including the European Journal of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry, British Dental Journal, Journal of Oral Rehabilitation and Dental Update.

He is keen to develop the skills of local practitioners and is actively involved in post-graduate education having provided lectures and hands-on courses at local and national level. The developments in dentistry are fast paced. Neil is committed to continuous professional development to keep abreast of the current literature and clinical techniques and has attended national and international conferences. He is a member of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry, Association of Consultants and Specialists in Restorative Dentistry, British Society for Periodontology and the British Endodontic Society.

Gaining her dental qualification from Edinburgh in 1992, Fiona graduated in Orthodontics in 2000 and has worked as a General Dental Council registered Specialist Orthodontist in Doncaster and Alfreton Specialist Orthodontic practices and as an Associate Specialist at Chesterfield Royal Hospital treating complex multidisciplinary cases since.

Fiona has won two national orthodontic awards in recognition of her clinical excellence: the Optident Prize 2000 awarded at the British Orthodontic Conference to the person showing the best M.Orth cases, judged on difficulty, clinical management and documentation, and the Maurice Berman Prize 2003 awarded to any member of the British Orthodontic Society for demonstrating by stage photographs the highest level of clinical ability in the treatment of a patient to an ideal result.

Her expertise and techniques include orthodontic care for adults and children of all ages, aesthetic and invisible braces, surgical orthodontics, self ligating brackets and Clearsteptm

Fiona is married to Jason, who is a Consultant in the Maxillofacial department at the QMC and Mum to three-and-a-half year old Aoife, and enjoys skiing and snowboarding when she gets the chance.

After qualifying as a hygienist in Edinburgh in 1994, Karen moved to Nottingham where she worked in a variety of dental practices before taking a 5 year career break after the birth of her son.

Since returning to dentistry, Karen had attended various courses to enhance her in surgery skills. She is a dedicated hygienist keen to equip her patients with the knowledge she has gained, to enhance their smiles and ultimately their general health and wellbeing. Karen has a special interest in implant surgery and maintenance. As maintenance is pivotal to the success of dental implants, Karen has developed and implemented a maintenance programme within the practice to ensure all our implant patients are continually cared for to our high standards.


Karen has lectured at the Congress for the International Team for Implantology to promote and emphasise the need for continuing maintenance of dental implants among her peers. She is also qualified in all aspects of tooth whitening.

Karen is a supporter of the worldwide dental charity Dentaid. In 2008 Karen travelled to Uganda with Christian Relief Uganda in conjunction with Dentaid where she worked in remote villages providing emergency dental care with a team of denial professionals. Part of the programme was to promote Dental Health Education linked to basic Health Education in rural schools. She and the team also helped to formulate a now published book on Infant Oral Mutilation (IOM) a subject at the heart of Dentaid's Educational Development Programme in many African communities.

Karen is a member of the professional bodies The British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy and The British Society of Periodontology.

Graham is the Facial Aesthetics practitioner for Campbell and Peace Specialist Dental Practice.

Gaining his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2002, he finished his three-year diploma in Postgraduate Dental Sciences in 2007. In 2006 he was appointed a Dental Foundation Trainer, where his role is to supervise, teach and assess newly qualified dentists. A year later Graham was appointed as one of the first "Enhanced" Foundation Trainers, a position he still holds.

In 2009 Graham completed his Restorative Dentistry certification and in 2011 finished the two-year Clinical Education Diploma.

Graham did his Facial Aesthetics training in London as a natural progression from dentistry and carries out Facial Aesthetic treatments across Nottingham.

Outside of work he enjoys a variety of sports and spending time with his young family.

Dr Andrew Legg graduated from the University of Manchester in 2001. Extensive experience in general practice has given Andrew grounding in all aspects of dental care allowing a fully comprehensive approach to patient care.

Andrew has undertaken countless hours of training including an 18 month Clinical Certificate in Implantology at the University of Sheffield and Advanced Surgical Training at the Royal College of Surgeons.

More recently Andrew passed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Andrew also works as a Clincial Teaching Fellow in Oral Surgery at the University of Manchester.

Andrew is passionate about the use of dental implants in helping restore patients to a more natural form and function and believes they play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life and general health in patients.

Andrew is proud to be an endorsing dentist for the major UK charity Action for Sick Children and has been involved in the launch of the Dental Playbox Scheme which aims to dispel the myths of visiting the dentist, educating under-privileged children countrywide. He is also a Bridge 2 Aid Unity Partner having raised money to help train dental officers in Tanzania.

Andrew is married with four young children. He enjoys following most sport, particularly rugby.

David Cohen qualified in 1971 with B.D.S. from the Royal Dental Hospital of London and 1972 LDSRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following qualification he worked in general practice in Manchester. At a lecture by an endodontist in 1976, he became interested in Endodontics and in order to advance his knowledge in this field he undertook a number of postgraduate courses in the United States at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, under the leadership of Dr. Herbert Schilder. In 1981 he commenced part-time postgraduate research in Endodontics, which led to an MSc being awarded in 1984 on the strength of a thesis entitled "An Investigation into the relative merits of some Endodontic Filling Systems". In 1986 he was invited to undertake further research work, culminating in a PhD being awarded by the University of Manchester in 1991 on the basis of a thesis entitled "Development and Evaluation of Endodontic Filling and Pulp Capping Materials". This led to the development of new materials in both areas of root filling and pulp capping and worldwide patents for such materials. In 2005 he was awarded a Certificate of Expert Witness Accreditation by Cardiff University.

In 1981 David opened a practice 'Limited to Endodontics' part-time, which has now grown into the full time practice at the Malthouse in Manchester. For a number of years David taught postgraduate Endodontics and undergraduate studies as a Lecturer at Manchester Dental Hospital and currently holds the position of Honorary Research Associate at Manchester University. He was admitted to the General Dental Council Endodontic Specialist register as soon as the register was inaugurated in 1998. He has written widely on endodontic subjects and in 1994 was a Visiting Fellow to the Singapore Ministry of Health. He has also lectured extensively in the U.K. and U.S.A.

David has served as the President of the British Endodontic Society and Chairman and/or executive member of a number of local dental and endodontic associations. He has also been since 1979 a member and regular attender at meetings of the American Association of Endodontists.

Outside dentistry he loves spending time with his family, especially his four young grandchildren. He also enjoys learning Spanish, photography, collecting whisky and vodka miniatures and flying his aeroplane. He has been very active in his local Jewish community, including the most recent stint of three years as the President of his local synagogue, and has recently been appointed an LEA Governor at a local high school.

She is committed to supporting patients in achieving optimal oral health, providing effective treatment in surgery and tailoring a personalised preventative care programme for each of her patients.

Outside of work, Gill enjoys running and Pilates, and spending time with her young family.
